STEVEN T. BIRD, CPCU

Steve Bird is the founder and principal consultant of Esses Consulting.  He assists clients with their property, liability, and workers compensation programs. In his 25+year consulting career, Mr. Bird has worked with organizations in a wide variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, security, real estate, banking, utilities, and the public sector. He also serves as the editor for International Risk Man­agement Institute’s Risk Financing.  Mr. Bird holds a BS degree in civil engineering from Purdue Universi­ty, an MBA degree from the University of Georgia, and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) professional designation.

CHRISTOPHER A. HOLMES
Risk Management Consultant

Christopher holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Mathematics from the University of South Carolina.  As an insurance professional, his focus has been primarily in commercial property and liability.  Prior to working with Esses Consulting, Mr. Holmes honed his skills at some of the largest insurance brokerages in the country.  His responsibilities included loss forecasting, property inspections, safety training implementation, and a number of other marketing efforts in the pursuit of new business.

Mr. Holmes is one of the founding members of the National African American Insurance Association, Charlotte Chapter. He is a graduate and active alumna of the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati’s African American Leadership Development program and a past member of the Cincinnati Reds’ Diversity Advisory Board.
